Wags & Wildflowers

Get ready for a delightful weekend filled with wagging tails, beautiful blooms, and community spirit.
The Wags & Wildflower First Friday event kicks off a weekend full of family fun including the Wildflower Festival and Paws for a Cause. This pet-friendly First Friday is in partnership with the Northwest SPCA to help Oroville’s animals in need.

                     Enter to win Union and Provisions Gift Cards!

Bring donations of food, towels, blankets, and toys, or make a cash donation for dogs and cats to the Downtown Oroville Booth between 4 and 8 pm for a chance to win gift cards from both Union and Provisions. 
Shop for more chances to win. Shop downtown during the event and you will receive a raffle ticket and a flower for every $20 you spend. Spend more and you’ll end up with a bouquet! Bring your receipts to the Downtown Oroville Booth at the corner of Myers & Bird before 8 pm to receive your flowers and enter the raffle.

How to Participate in First Friday:

🐾 Dog-Friendly Atmosphere: Bring your well-behaved four-legged companions along!

Business Process Mapping - 2 Part Series

2-day training April 12 & 26, 8 am - 5 pm

Business Process Mapping is one of the most important tools in identifying process improvement and green opportunity. In this 2- day interactive workshop, participants will explore various process mapping tools and discuss the pros and cons of each. Participants gain hands-on experience with each mapping tool and will understand when to apply the tool. This hands-on workshop provides participants with the knowledge and experience necessary to start implementing mapping in an organization.

This training is designed to:

Enable participants to define, map and analyze work processes from the customers' perspective; identifying waste, inefficiency and impact on the customers.

Learning Outcomes

  • Understand the importance of business processes.
  • Understand the definition of a Process Map.
  • Understand why a Process Map is necessary.
  • Identify the steps and practices for breaking down a process.
  • Be familiar with different types of process maps.

The Intro to SUP class is geared toward those new to stand up boarding. The goal of the class is to become familiar with the board and equipment, gain confidence, learn proper stance and paddling skills, how to remount the board from the water (self rescue), and to increase awareness in general water safety.
