Feather River Clean Up

Join park volunteers and FRRPD staff in making a positive impact by restoring the health of the Feather River and surrounding trails. Goals include removing  trash and invasive plant species, reducing wildfire fuels,  discouraging illegal encampments and restoring native habitat.  This initiative enhances community access, safety and environmental health along a key recreation and ecological corridor. 

Clean along the Feather River Bike Trail, Riverbend Disc Golf Course, Pat Alley Memorial Dog Park, or along the Riverbend Half-Mile Fitness Trail. 

Volunteers will meet at the Salmon Pavilion to register and receive clean-up supplies as well as lunch after.

1st Annual Soapbox Derby at the Salmon Festival

The 1st Annual Soapbox Derby is a fundraiser for the local Boy Scout Troop and Pack 29. The day starts out with a car show to determine the best of show followed by racing of 3 classes, the Buttes District Troop Challenge, The Jrs Class, and the highly competitive and Crazy class of the Adults. The race is open to the public to design, build, and compete in your own custom Soapbox car! $100/per car registration, rules and up-to-date information can be found on our Facebook page: Scouting of America Pack/ Troop 29.
