The Bob Beever Memorial Golf Tournament

Bob Beever (1937-2008) and his son, Bill, began this tournament in 2004 to benefit Caring for Women Pregnancy Resource Center, an organization near and dear to Bob’s heart. Many of you may remember Bob as a stellar businessman, a broker, and a land developer with his own company, Bob Beever Realty. In addition, Bob was a generous philanthropist, serving on the Board for Caring for Women, the Board of Realtors, and in multiple capacities in his church community. Above all else, Bob loved his Lord Jesus Christ and was an excellent husband, father, grandfather, and friend.  We have missed him, but he is not forgotten.  And we are honored to carry on his legacy with this year’s tournament.

You can Register here, sign up to be a Sponsor or stop by the Caring For Women Center: Monday 1-5 PM or Tuesday through Thursday, 10 AM – 5PM to pick up a packet.

~ 2024 FEATHER RIVER FLOATING CLASSROOM ~

Please arrive 15 minutes early to park and use the restroom prior to walking to meet under the Table Mountain Blvd. historic green bridge. Then, please check in and pick up your life jacket promptly at your event time!

Rafts will depart from beneath the green bridge at the Feather River Fish Hatchery as soon as introductory and safety talks are completed. Rafts will leave without you if you're late!

An expert DWR Environmental Scientist will lead each tour, assisted by Pacific States Marine Fisheries Commission Fisheries Biologists who will guide the rafts and answer any questions while underway.

The guided tour will end at Bedrock Park, where an electric shuttle bus will be waiting to return everyone to the hatchery.

The entire Feather River Floating Classroom tour will take 2 hours and 15 minutes, including the return shuttle to the hatchery.

Feather River Floating Classroom

The Feather River Floating Classroom program was developed by the California Department of Water Resources to provide information about water operations, the salmon life cycle, conservation of native species, and ongoing research and restoration efforts. Fisheries scientists guide each tour and provide opportunities for in-depth discussions.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ HATCHERY TOURS ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Fish Hatchery Tours are booked separately and all participants are encouraged to explore the Feather River Fish Hatchery when you can.
• Guided tours are available on a first-come, first-serve basis every Monday - Friday, beginning in mid-September through early November (please call 530-534-2306).
• Self-guided walking tours are available 7 days a week (pick up brochures with a map at the Feather River Fish Hatchery, 5 Table Mountain Blvd. in Oroville, or at the Lake Oroville Visitor Center).
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

In combination, both tours will provide a deeper understanding of the complex life cycle of Central Valley Chinook Salmon, management challenges facing threatened spring-run Chinook Salmon and steelhead, and ongoing and future research and restoration efforts to the Feather River watershed for native species.
