Spring Fling!

Welcome Spring with Downtown Oroville!

Participating shops will be open late showcasing their new arrivals, offering “spring cleaning” deals, and light refreshments. Select eateries will have special menu items and new Spring cocktails.

Live music will be found inside Union and on the corner of Bird and Huntoon. Dancers will be performing throughout the evening and Joe’s Lunch ToGo will be parked outside Gold City Vintage!

Wildflower & Nature Festival


The Wildflower & Nature Festival is returning April 3rd 2021!
The Feather River Recreation and Park District cares about the safety of Butte County and is taking actions to limit the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19). We are excited for the return of the annual Wildflower and Nature Festival, with COVID modifications, including appropriate booth distancing, face masks, and extra handwashing stations throughout the site.
The festival is free admission and offers fun for all ages. Walk through beautiful Riverbend Park while shopping handmade products from local businesses, visit the Farmers Market loop for fresh Spring produce and complete your visit by enjoying one-of-kind meal creations in the Food Truck Alley. Kids crafts and educational materials will be provided by local resource agencies, and more!
Becoming a Vendor is easy. If you're interested in being a vendor at the 2021 Festival, please visit our website to download a vendor application, and follow to instructions to submit.

Easter Egg Hunt & Basket Giveaway


Come join the fun at Hewitt Park; 2101 Baldwin, Oroville. The Oroville Eagles FOE 196 will be hosting its Annual Easter Egg Hunt! We are also happy to announce we have 100 EASTER BASKETS to GIVEAWAY to children 10 yrs. and under!! The hunt will be separated into four age groups. We will give 2 prizes for each age group: 1 month to 2 years, 3 to 5 years, 6 to 8 years, and 8 to 10 years. The Easter Bunny will be there to greet and take photos with the children.
This event is open to the public.

Celebrate Spring with a guided kayak trip down the Feather River!

Join the Forebay Aquatic Center for an exciting kayak adventure with your friends and family, ending at the annual Wildflower & Nature Festival at Riverbend Park

Two trips will be hosted: 11am & 1pm

All Experience Levels Welcome

Meeting Point:

Both trips meet at Riverbend Park!

(Located at 50 Montgomery St, Oroville, CA 95965)

 

Complimentary Shuttle Service,

Sponsored by Explore Butte County:

Complimentary Shuttles leave Riverbend Park at 10:30am & 12:30pm, to our launch site at the Feather River Hatchery.

Masks Required as per CDC Guidelines

Launch Site:

All participants not using shuttle service should be at Feather River Hatchery early to sign necessary waivers and safety training. We will group under the green bridge at the Hatchery.

Kayak Trips Depart at 11:00am & 1:00pm

Trip includes:

Single and Double Kayaks as available

The upcoming tour we’ll be walking down Miners alley and then down Bird st to see and even get a peek inside some pioneer homes including The Sparks home, The Vandergrift Home, The Hecker Home, Judge Grays house, The Marks house, The Reece Home and The Boynton house. Come enjoy walking through time and experiencing Oroville’s rich history!
