Oroville Hospital is partnering with The Oroville Salvation Army to help feed families in need

Oroville Hospital will have three drop-off locations available for canned goods and boxed /dry goods. Please see the informational flyer below for the most needed non-perishable items. The donation collection period for these locations is November 10th – December 15th.

Food Drop-off Locations on Oroville Hospital Campus:

Barrels will be located in supervised lobby locations (look for the large marked barrels)

• Post-Acute Center 1000 Executive Parkway

We are excited to invite you to participate in a community conversation focused on enhancing our local parks and trails through District sponsored Park Watch Programs, Adopt-a-Park Programs, and Adopt-a Trail-Programs.

This “community conversation” event aims to bring community members together for a discussion on working together to foster community safety, security, and pride.

Event Details:

• Date: Third Thursday of each month
• Time:  5:30pm-6:30pm
• Location: Oroville Convention Center – 1200 Myers Street

Agenda:

1. Park Watch Program: Learn about how you can help monitor and protect our parks.
2. Recruitment/Scheduling of community individuals/groups to “be present” in our parks.
   1. Participate: Be present in one of the core area parks 1x/week for 1 hr. 
   2. Document: Take notes/take pictures
   3. Report: Promote/celebrate positive activities/experiences in our parks. Share your observations of undesired activities and/or concerns with District staff.

• Community Safety: Strategies to ensure a safe environment for all.
• Community Security: Measures to enhance the security of our shared spaces.
• Community Pride: Initiatives to foster a sense of pride and ownership in our community.
