Chief Jason Wines
In January 2025, Chief Jason Wines was appointed Interim Chief of Police for the Oroville Police Department. By July 2025, he was promoted to serve as the department’s permanent Chief of Police.
Chief Wines brings over 25 years of extensive experience in law enforcement and public safety.
As Chief, Chief Wines is committed to enhancing officer training and maintaining the highest professional standards within the department. His focus includes both proactive and reactive strategies for crime prevention to protect businesses, lives, and property in the City of Oroville. Additionally, he is dedicated to engaging and uplifting the youth of Oroville as a key approach to reducing juvenile-related crime.
