Oroville Area Chamber of Commerce - Event Information

Event Name:June Meeting of FRRPD Park Watch Volunteers
Event Type(s):Member Event
Volunteer Meeting
Park Watch Volunteers will be meeting on Saturday, June 1, from 9:00-11:00 AM, at Riverbend Park to welcome new and returning volunteers.

The FRRPD PARK WATCH PROGRAM has multiple levels of participation so that volunteers can choose their degree of involvement.

Kent Fowler, Chairperson, Feather River Rec & Park District, is looking for Park Watch Guardians to walk or bike through Riverbend Park, Bedrock Skate & Bike Park, Martin Luther King Park, Pat Alley Memorial Dog Park, Palermo Park and along the Feather River Bike Trail to greet park visitors, provide directions and educate the public on Park regulations.

Park Watch Ambassadors are also wanted to make casual visits to Oroville parks and report illegal camps, graffiti, vandalism, litter, and maintenance needs via the FRRPD Park Watch website and free phone app. This is a volunteering opportunity that can be done on any day and at any time. This is an invaluable aid to park maintenance and law enforcement
